Louisiana’s children struggle under the second-highest child poverty rate in the nation. More than 1 in 4 Louisiana children live below the federal poverty line and almost half (43%) of Louisiana’s Black children live in poverty. 

But we can do better. The Strong Families Tax Credit can help ease the strain.
