2025 Invest in Louisiana Policy Conference
The Invest in Louisiana Policy Conference is returning to Baton Rouge! Please join us and our partners on September 18 for a day of fellowship and learning about how we can break down racial and economic barriers and create a stronger state economy that works for everyone. The theme for this year’s conference is “Toward Justice for All: Centering Equity in Louisiana’s Policy Future.”
Nationally renowned civil rights attorney, Maya Wiley, will be the keynote speaker at the conference. Civil rights protections in America are under legal and political threat. Wiley has fought for historically disadvantaged and underserved communities while serving in government, philanthropy, higher education and the nonprofit sector. You don’t want to miss your chance to hear from her and other powerful speakers.
Maya Wiley is the president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil & Human Rights, the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights coalition, and The Leadership Conference Education Fund. A nationally respected civil rights attorney, policy expert, program creator, academic and news commentator, Wiley was the first Black woman to serve as Counsel to a NYC Mayor.
In 2021 Wiley ran a historic campaign for Mayor of New York City. She is a former NBC News and MSNBC Legal Analyst, has authored numerous opinion editorials and is now the author of the Memoir, “Remember You Are a Wiley.”
